Handicap International

Co-winner of the Nobel Peace Prize and an international aid organisation working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster. As part of their important work Handicap International run campaigns to inform and educate school children and the general public about the issues of land mines and living in conflict.

The Forgotten 10 Challenge action pack was developed for schools to remember victims around the world: 10 days of action for the victims of landmines and cluster bombs. The branding was 'No More Victims', and the pack consisted of campaign materials to support schools in the challenge, using posters, postcards, digital presentations, promotional material and collection boxes.

We were asked to design a schools touring exhibition ‘Walk the Path’, aimed at assisting children in the UK understand what it’s like for children around the world living in conflict. To help visualise the message of landmines the background image of each poster reflects the subject of the poster; terrain where mines would be commonly found; tiles to reflect the medical surroundings of a clinic, to provoke thought that a seemingly innocent ground can potentially be deadly. The pathway leads from poster to poster guiding you through the treacherous environments and explaining the consequences and stories from victims.
